Tough day

Last night while trying to get roughly 10 hours of sleep I was disrupted by my little beast. He found it necessary to gnaw on his bone as loudly as possible. And then when that got boring he wanted to play catch with himself. Cut to 12am when Carrie gets home from a business trip and he practically scratched the door down to see her, and play.
Then this morning while trying to take him out to pee, he managed to escape my grip 3 times and run away. I think he sensed that it was raining and decided that he would not be forced to pee under those conditions.
Well luckily he kept Carrie company while she worked from home today and was actively doing this:And this:No no, go ahead Bruise, you rest up and take it easy.

Nast.

So I saw this on twitter last night but I couldn't figure out what was going on, was she extra tan and shiny? Are those her abs or what is that? And now I see its much more classy than I had imagined...its dirt with a PB bunny etched into the dirt. This is art if I've ever seen any. She is the WORST. Although, ever since that awful show and her obsession with the dry shampoo- I've been obsessed. So I finally got dry shampoo this week and its fantastic! I'm never showering again!

I feel so productive! And morbidly obese.

So this weekend was a lot of fun and today has been super productive. Friday Eileen and I went to see (500) Days of Summer and it was awesome! I've already bought the soundtrack. It made me miss 3rd Rock From the Sun...I totally cried at the series finale. I love Zooey Deschanel and I now enjoy Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
Yesterday was a Target run, and an afternoon of cleaning (always a blast). Then out to a party at Retro on Roscoe. It involved a 2am Ian's Mac and Cheese Pizza run which was completely necessary. It was the most delish thing I've ever eaten. Followed by brunch this morning where I decided to get a breakfast burrito. Again, completely necessary.
Then we took Bruiser to the beach! Well, I knew you could take dogs to this beach, but we couldn't find the actual dog beach...so he just sat with us on the regular beach. And then I started to get paranoid about getting fined $500 if he doesn't have a special dog license. Its bizarre. Long story short, he doesn't enjoy sand and HATES children so overall, it was interesting. BUT I did get to try these weird Mexican pinwheel-chip-like-things with hot sauce. And then I had to have the corn with MAYO, BUTTER and CHEESE! I've never seen this before but It was amazingly fat and I'm worried about food poisoning as the mayo was in the hot sun...but I enjoyed it. And don't worry- I needed to get my protein in so a hot dog was my solution for that.
I then proceeded to book my flight to Cabo in February!! Finally, after years of spending money on my Mileage Plus credit card, I finally used points towards a flight. I'm very excited about it!
Now if you'll excuse me I just found a movie called Legally BlondeS, a British spin-off of Legally Blonde on TV...it looks awful so I'm sure I'll watch the whole thing.

What exactly is this?

While walking to a derm appointment I managed walk behind this. It wasn't so much a mullet, as it was 2 hair styles. It was like a short, mom-like blonde bob and then long straight dark hair underneath. I won't judge because I did have that incident in the 6th grade when I may or may not have shaved the underneath of my hair. Let's not get into that, its still a sore subject. But I've grown, and I learned that that was not appropriate. This chick was in her 20's and should know better.

Chupa Chups!

Whatever happened to Chupa Chups?! I never see them anymore and I LOVE them. I would always get the Ice Cream flavors because I was hardcore like that. I hope that they're still around.

Alice in Wonderland

Is it weird that I'm beyond excited for Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland? While I'm not the biggest Tim Burton fan (Nightmare Before Christmas still gives me nightmares...) I think that he'll do an awesome job on this movie. I've always been a fan of this book and I like many quotes from it, and I love the Cheshire Cat for some reason. I had a poster that was this conversation that I like between Alice and the Cheshire cat.

"But I don't want to go among mad people," Alice remarked.
"Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."
"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."
Alice went on, "Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?"
"That depends a good deal on where you want to get to," said the Cat.
"I don't much care where--" said Alice.
"Then it doesn't matter which way you go," said the Cat.
"--so long as I get SOMEWHERE," Alice added as an explanation.
"Oh, you're sure to do that," said the Cat, "if you only walk long enough."

Random thoughts...

So these are the things that I've been thinking about lately.

I hate it when people laugh, while they're saying something not funny. Not like tell a joke and laugh at themselves. I'm talking about those who are like:
"Well the tooohoohoootal bill comes tooohoohooho twenty fihihive sixty sevenneh" chuckling all the while. Its weird...I can't get a feel for you if you're doing that.

So yesterday while I was walking Mini, I saw a Mexican family (mom, dad and maybe 4 year old boy) digging through all of the garbage and recycling bins looking for cans in the alley. I felt awful. I smiled at the dad and then went into my apt to stare out the window at them. I debated what I should do. My immediate reaction was to go through our recycling in the kitchen and bring them out the cans, and also give them like a $20. Then I debated if that would offend them? All I know is if someone offered me $20- I would snatch it and run. The first predicament that I ran into was the fact that we maybe had 3 cans... not very impressive. Secondly, I rarely have $20 on me and I was lucky to find a whopping $4 in my wallet. So then I did nothing. I figured $4 and 3 soda cans weren't exactly on the same level as say, an Extreme Home Makeover...but at least I had thought about it.

Did anyone watch the Obsessed with the lady who kept her MISCARRIAGE in the freezer for 7 years? I KNOW! I am still having nightmares. That is if I sleep...lately I've been staying up past midnight watching Tori and Dean on Oxygen. Someone may need to have an intervention soon.

So I tried Pilates today for the first time ever! Once I got over laughing about the girl breathing heavily besides me, it was actually interesting. I think if I stuck with it, that I could improve my posture which is delightful. And maybe, just maybe, tone up a little bit.

That is all...for now.
